About this blog:
This blog is nothing more than my subjective opinions on various topics in photography.
This blog will cover those topics which were of interest to me as my knowledge was evolving. I will try to give answers to questions which were puzzling me along the way. I will occasionally post gear reviews, only if I had experience with it.
Tentative list of questions I would like to discuss soon:
- “Your Camera Doesn’t Matter”
- how to chose and buy your camera
- the most important in photography
- how to take better pictures
- how to expose correctly
- what is an anti aliasing filter
- shooting film. film vs. digital
- how to improve
- top ten beginner mistakes
- gear reviews (only what I have experience with)
- book reviews
- web resources reviews
- how do human vision and perception work
You will not find reviews of newly released gear here.
I’m not a professional photographer, I’m just an amateur like many of you. Over the last 10 years I have invested a lot of time in trying to find the answers to photography questions and I would like to share what I think was the most helpful. Please don’t take my answers for granted. I may make mistakes and my opinion may change with time.
Even though I’m a proponent of “It’s not the camera it’s you” point of view, I’m still very much interested in the technology. I enjoy photography as art, I do enjoy the process of creating a photograph, I do enjoy the technology which serves the purpose of helping us to “paint with light”. I will say it and repeat again, enjoying the technological qualities of a camera I still claim it has very little to do with the art of photography.
I have been studying Physics for more than 20 years which does help with understanding technical aspects of photography.
English is not my native language, so please bear with me. If you find mistakes which I’m sure there will be plenty, please let me know.
